32nd Annual CME Conference - 2014

WVAO President Mike Haislip, MD, opened the 2014 CME Conference at The Greenbrier.

Dr. Andrew Blitzer spoke on the history and therapeutic applications of Botulinum toxin in the head and neck, using Botox for migraine headaches, neurolaryngology and the history of laryngology. His scroes ranged from 4.80 to 4.95!

WVU's own Dr. Adam Cassis spoke on superior semicircular canal dehiscence, cochlear impants, medial versus lateral tympanoplasty and the treatment of Meniere's Disease. His average scores ranged from 4.87 to 4.95.

Dr. Paul Levine shared information on avoiding pitfalls when performing hyroid surgery, challenges of the Affordable Care Act, which is the best scan ot order when evaluating head and neck neoplasms and the management of parotid malignancies. His average scores ranged from 4.67 to 4.98.

Members visited with our exhibitors several times during the day on Friday and Saturday.

Our newest member, Dr. Sharon Tomaski, got to know Alcon's Matt Murphy.

John Slicer held everyone's attention for nearly half an hour, taking their mind off WvU's loss earlier in the evening.

Everyone watches as John deals the cards for the next magical story.

Lynnda Blane, with Hill Dermaceuticals, found herself assisting John in a card illusion.

WVU residents Herman Lam, left, and Jordan Cain closed the meeting with talks on "Is a PSG necessary for children who meet clinical indicators of OSA" and "Clinical indicators for same day discharge after tonsillectomy in children," respectively. Their scores ranged from 4.9 to 4.85. We thank them, and our other speakers, for an outstanding meeting!
